This digital dossier by Asturex and the I&DE Research Group (University of Oviedo) presents successful international growth processes of Asturian companies, which have generously shared their experiences with us. This catalog serves as a showcase of their strategies, the challenges they have overcome, and the outcomes they have achieved in the international markets.

Through this living dossier —which we will expand progressively by incorporating new cases—  we seek to highlight the good work of our companies in international markets. This is not an exhaustive catalog; fortunately for our region, it would be impossible to capture every success story. Our selection reflects our interest to showcase the great diversity of companies whose international reach strengthens the regional economy: from micro-enterprises to large multinational groups; from international new ventures to firms with a long international track record; from competitors in traditional industries to the most disruptive innovators.

This collection aims to contribute to the training of university students and to serve as a reference and motivational driver for companies facing the international growth challenge. It also seeks to underscore the international achievements of Asturian companies, as well as the role of foreign trade promotion agencies as drivers, catalysts and tireless companions in the international journey. The series includes inspiring cases, remarkable experiences and useful lessons.

This project helps strengthen the link between universities, businesses, and institutions, which is essential for the region’s economic development and improves a shared sense of identity. Asturias undoubtedly exports, and it does so with pride, intensity, industrial diversity and geographical breadth.
